Jacobs is on the lookout for a Transmission Planning and Studies Engineer specializing in power systems and transmission planning. You will be instrumental in partnering with utility clients while demonstrating strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as FERC, NERC, and NPCC.

Your role includes conducting detailed power system studies and leading projects through all phases of their lifecycle, using tools like PSS/E, TARA, and PSCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute steady-state and transient power system studies and analyses

• Participate in meetings for project updates and development

• Lead project management from proposal to final close-out

• Collaborate across teams throughout North America

• Stay updated through participation in ISO/RTO technical committees

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering

• At least 4 years of relevant power studies experience

• Experience with ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, or IESO

• Comprehensive knowledge of NERC, FERC, and NPCC standards

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
