Contribute to the City of Toronto's environmental initiatives as an Environmental Coordinator, where you will engage in project management and sustainability efforts. This position emphasizes environmental compliance and proactive stakeholder engagement.
You will work within the Corporate Real Estate Management Division, monitoring environmental issues and supporting project managers across diverse city projects. Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing communication strategies, and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor environmental compliance and program performance
• Review and analyze environmental assessments and audits
• Coordinate meetings and communications with stakeholders
• Investigate inquiries and complaints regarding environmental concerns
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports
Requirements:
• Relevant education in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Experience in Environmental Site Assessments and project coordination
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver's License
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction drawing interpretation
