WSP Environmental Planner Position

Contribute to sustainable infrastructure projects as an Environmental Planner with WSP in Ontario. Lead assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective environmental solutions.
As an Environmental Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing environmental assessments for major transportation projects. With over seven years of experience, you will navigate complex regulations, mentor junior staff, and engage with various stakeholders, including Indigenous communities. Your work will be integral to achieving a balance between infrastructure development and environmental preservation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental planning for infrastructure and transportation

• Draft high-quality reports and consultation materials

• Navigate regulatory challenges with professional judgement

• Review environmental technical studies from specialists

• Foster relationships for stakeholder engagement
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields

• 7+ years in environmental assessments in Ontario

• Effective project management skills

• Experience with Indigenous engagement strategies

• Knowledge of environmental permitting processes
