Position: Engineer for Water Resources Projects
Take on a vital role at TRCA as a Water Resources Engineer, dedicated to managing flood risks and ensuring sustainable infrastructure solutions in Ontario. This full-time position emphasizes technical expertise in floodplain assessments.
The Engineer will assess and comment on new development applications and infrastructure projects under TRCA’s jurisdiction. Focused on enhancing environmental stewardship, this position integrates hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with effective stormwater management strategies. Collaborating with team members is essential to meet regulatory compliance and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review complex infrastructure and development applications

• Conduct hydrologic modeling and floodplain assessments

• Provide technical guidance on erosion control plans

• Collaborate with project stakeholders on design issues

• Respond to public inquiries related to flood risk
Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Water Resources discipline

• 4+ years relevant engineering experience

• Pursuing or have Professional Engineer licensure

• Experience with floodplain mapping and modeling tools

• Knowledge of LID and green infrastructure practices
