Drive impactful environmental assessments with WSP as a Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist. Leverage your expertise in Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act to shape sustainable energy projects.
This role involves leading multi-disciplinary environmental planning for projects in sectors like nuclear, renewable energy, and mining. You will develop regulatory roadmaps and compliance strategies to ensure sustainability while fostering relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders. Your mentorship of junior staff will also promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental impact assessments for diverse energy projects
• Develop comprehensive regulatory and environmental permit plans
• Provide strategic leadership for EIAs and documentation reviews
• Engage with clients and regulators to establish strong collaborations
• Identify business development opportunities and support proposals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
• 10+ years of experience managing EIAs in Ontario or Canada
• Proven track record in complex project management
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience
• Familiarity with regulatory processes in Ontario
