Job Responsibilities
- Test AI models and software for diverse use cases using various methodologies.
- Generate ground truth data, develop reference materials and annotated datasets, and build a robust testing framework to ensure high quality standards.
- Engage with internal customers to identify challenges, create impactful solutions, and collaborate with universities and external partners to drive innovation and successful project outcomes.
- Provide technical evaluation of technologies being considered by Magna R&D project team engineers and researchers.
- Evaluate technologies and product designs to ensure they align with scientific and engineering principles, company standards, customer needs, and relevant specifications.
- Support the creation of innovative components and modules from conceptualization through all stages of development, including design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, and assessing both production feasibility and business cases.
- Design and execute research programs applying fundamental concepts in mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, electronics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Foster teamwork by contributing creative ideas for new products and processes, and by sharing information with colleagues.
- Compare experimental results with simulation data for consistency and validation.
- Oversee the innovation project timeline by tracking overall progress, coordinating efforts, estimating time requirements, sequencing tasks, and resolving any arising issues.
- Clearly define and manage outsourced work such as software development, prototyping, validation, and testing, ensuring it is completed on schedule.
Salary: $95,000 - $145,000 annually.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related fields (Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace, Robotics).
- Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive technology.
- Good understanding of basic engineering principles and physics.
- 3+ years of recent, in‑depth, hands‑on experience in a relevant field in the automotive industry.
- Proficient in handling training and validation data, segmentation and annotation processes.
- Proficient in programming with Python.
- Proficient in machine learning and AI frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch.
- Experience with Git Hub continuous integration and testing.
- Experience with prompting techniques.
- Experience in frontend web development (Next.js, React).
- Experience in cloud deployment (Docker, Azure, AWS).
- Proficient in agentic AI frameworks such as CrewAI, Lang Graph.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
