WSP is seeking a qualified Intermediate Communications Design Specialist to support complex communications systems for major transit projects. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in rail communications design, focusing on systems integration and engineering principles. You will develop technical deliverables and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards across large-scale rail infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design complex communications systems including CCTV and telephony
• Develop technical documentation such as wiring diagrams and specifications
• Apply systems engineering principles to transit communication designs
• Support construction and commissioning activities on-site
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate solutions
Requirements:
• 5–10 years in rail communications systems design
• Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation preferred
• Strong understanding of IP networking and rail systems
• Experience with cybersecurity standards like CISSP
• Proficient in interpreting technical documentation
