Position: Lead Data Communication Systems at Hitachi Rail
Join Hitachi Rail as the Lead for Data Communication Systems in Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid). Spearhead a team of engineers managing crucial network deployments for transport safety.

In this pivotal role, you will use your extensive experience and knowledge to drive the design and lifecycle management of data communication systems. A Master’s or PhD in Engineering or Telecommunications is required, along with proven expertise in networking and data communications. You will ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity measures while mentoring a talented team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct high-availability data communication systems design

• Implement design policies and manage documentation

• Mentor engineering teams in RF, SR-MPLS, and 5G

• Oversee testing and validation of communication subsystems

• Engage in project proposals and strategic roadmap execution

Requirements:

• 15+ years in data communications; 10+ years in leadership

• Experience with mission-critical technologies and 3

GPP

• Deep knowledge of private 5G networks and RF tech

• Excellent communication and management skills

• Certifications in networking or cybersecurity preferred
