Join WSP as a Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist, leading impactful assessments in the energy sectors. Your extensive expertise will drive compliance with Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act.
In this senior role, you will manage environmental planning across various sectors, particularly in nuclear and renewable energy. You will develop monitoring plans and foster stakeholder relationships, ensuring innovative engagement with Indigenous communities. Additionally, your mentoring of junior staff will cultivate team growth and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead EIAs for multi-disciplinary energy projects
• Create regulatory roadmaps and environmental compliance plans
• Oversee quality reviews of EIA documentation
• Consult with regulators and foster client relationships
• Drive business development initiatives and proposals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
• 10+ years’ experience in EIA management in Ontario or Canada
• Expertise in handling complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Background in stakeholder engagement and community interaction
• Knowledge of Ontario’s regulatory and permitting landscape
