WSP seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to shape Canada's industrial power systems in Ontario. Lead electrical design for mining and heavy industries, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
In this role, you will bring your 18+ years of electrical engineering prowess to drive projects across sectors. As a senior subject matter expert, you'll influence outcomes from concept to completion in mining and metals. Your expertise will ensure compliance with safety standards and guide junior engineers for effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design of electrical distribution and control systems
• Conduct power system studies including load flow and arc-flash
• Prepare equipment specifications for transformers and switch gear
• Oversee engineering calculations and design verification
• Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth
Requirements:
• Minimum 18 years’ experience in electrical design
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards
• Experience with industrial environments such as mines
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams
