We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer who combines exceptional Structural Engineering expertise with project leadership, client relationship management, team development, and practice growth skills. This role is ideal for a highly capable Structural Engineer with extensive experience delivering structural engineering projects in accordance with Ontario codes, standards, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements, as well as a strong technical foundation in structural analysis, building design, rehabilitation, and engineering project delivery.
While leadership and client engagement are important aspects of this role, we are ultimately seeking a strong Structural Engineer with the technical expertise to lead complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will serve as a technical leader within the Structural Engineering team, guiding project delivery, mentoring engineers, working directly with clients and stakeholders, and helping shape the continued growth of Mantecon Partner’s Structural Engineering presence in Toronto.
- Play a key role in the growth and development of Mantecon Partner’s Toronto Structural Engineering practice.
- Lead diverse and technically challenging projects across institutional, healthcare, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and rehabilitation sectors.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Civil Engineering professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Take ownership of projects from conceptual design through construction.
- Work directly with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of engineering professionals.

This position is ideal for a Lead Structural Engineer who enjoys balancing technical excellence, project leadership, and client engagement.
You will serve as a lead Structural Engineer on a diverse range of building, infrastructure, rehabilitation, and assessment projects while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, working directly with clients and stakeholders, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Success in this role requires strong structural engineering expertise, sound technical judgment, and the ability to confidently guide projects from concept through construction while building trusted relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.

What You’ll Do Structural Engineering Leadership- Act as the Lead Structural Engineer responsible for the planning, analysis, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Provide technical oversight and engineering review of structural designs involving concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and existing building rehabilitation.
- Lead structural condition assessments, investigations, restoration projects, rehabilitation designs, and structural evaluations.
