Structural BIM Technician

Shape complex structures as a Structural BIM Technician with the Toronto Structural Engineering Building Team. This role focuses on developing detailed structural BIM models and construction drawings.

This position is ideal for experienced candidates with a strong background in structural design. You will establish frameworks based on engineering concepts and maintain models throughout the project lifecycle, right up to IFC stages. Excellent technical judgment, along with collaboration across disciplines, is crucial for ensuring accurate and compliant deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete 3D modelling of structures using Revit

• Coordinate models with architectural, civil, and MEP disciplines

• Translate engineering intent into constructible models

• Review and ensure model accuracy before submission

• Support quantity take-offs and integration of laser data

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years in BIM model preparation

• Proficiency in Revit; knowledge of additional software is a plus

• Relevant experience in structural or industrial design

• Strong team collaboration skills

• Fluent in English;
French knowledge is beneficial
