Hands-On Electrical Engineer

Position: Hands-On Electrical Engineer at Human Computer Lab
Join Human Computer Lab as a hands-on Electrical Engineer focused on designing hardware for our interactive robot, LeLamp. This role involves developing electronic systems that enhance robot expressiveness and functionality.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the evolution of LeLamp, working closely with the CEO and founding team. With a strong emphasis on PCB design and architecture, you'll create and validate key subsystems for power, sensing, and actuation. Your focus will be on practical implementation, ensuring quality and performance through bench work and debugging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and validate PCBAs for robot subsystems

• Develop and iterate early electrical concepts

• Own schematics through fabrication and bring-up

• Systematically debug hardware issues and document results

• Support integration between hardware and firmware

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years experience

• Proficient in Altium or similar tools

• Experience with power electronics and sensing systems

• Comfortable with hands-on soldering and board work

• Experience programming microcontrollers or DSPs
