Electrical and Controls Designer, WSP

Shape Canada's energy systems with WSP as an Electrical and Controls Designer. Your technical expertise will support sustainable projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, or the Atlantic provinces.

In this role, you'll contribute significantly to energy transition projects through electrical design. Working within WSP’s Energy & Process team, you will convert P&IDs for electrical drawings and develop comprehensive drawing packages. Collaborating closely with other engineering disciplines, your work will support high-quality deliverables and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transform P&IDs into accurate electrical drawings

• Create complete electrical drawing packages

• Evaluate RFQs and contract documents

• Mark up vendor package drawings for specifications

• Provide technical support to electrical contractors

Requirements:

• Technical diploma in electrical engineering technology

• 5+ years electrical design experience

• Experience in Power Generation Projects

• Proficient in AutoCAD; 3D CADD experience preferred

• Solutions-focused mindset and collaborative skills
