Structures Designer

Position: Structures Designer ON
Join De Havilland Aircraft of Canada as a Structures Designer in Toronto. Leverage your expertise in Solid Works and aircraft structure design to innovate and enhance our aerospace solutions.

As a Structures Designer, you will be a hands-on professional dedicated to creating 3D designs for structural modifications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Your role will involve maintaining high standards in mechanical practices while collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders, optimizing existing designs, and conducting aircraft surveys for modification solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design structural modifications using Solid Works

• Create Model Based Definitions and detailed drawings

• Ensure compliance with CAR, FAR, and CS specifications

• Review existing designs for optimization opportunities

• Collaborate with support groups and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• Minimum of 8 years in aerospace structural design

• Proficiency in Solid Works and CAD applications

• Strong technical judgement and communication skills

• Willingness to travel if necessary
