Electrical Design Engineer Construction

Position: Electrical Design Engineer for New Construction
Shape electrical systems as an Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on new construction. Collaborate with architects and engineers to create efficient, compliant designs.

In this role, you will coordinate and document electrical systems for various building types, from commercial to residential. You should bring expertise in AutoCAD and have solid experience in load calculations, lighting design, and compliance with electrical codes.

Your role also includes direct engagement with project teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for diverse building projects

• Prepare drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or Revit

• Perform detailed load calculations and lighting designs

• Ensure compliance with OBC, OESC, and CSA standards

• Conduct site visits and support during construction phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 5+ years in electrical design, consulting preferred

• Proficient in AutoCAD;
Revit is a strong asset

• Familiarity with Ontario electrical codes and standards

• EIT or P.Eng. designation preferred
