Hands-On ASIC Validation Engineer at Proto

Join Proto as an ASIC Validation Engineer, working directly with mining silicon design and hardware in a hands-on lab environment. You will debug, test, and validate ASIC performance in exciting new products.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our custom silicon operates seamlessly within the ecosystem h over four years of experience, you will collaborate with ASIC designers and systems engineers to develop bench tests and analyze data. Your work will enhance product development for Bitkey and other innovative bitcoin solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bring up new silicon on bench platforms and evaluation boards

• Debug issues across ASIC, board, firmware, and systems

• Develop tests and tools for silicon feature validation

• Partner with designers for validation and debugging

• Generate data to inform design decisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related

• 4+ years of silicon validation or hardware test experience

• Hands-on lab skills in debugging and instrumentation

• Proficiency in scripting (Python preferred)

• Strong communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
