Sustainability and Energy Management Specialist

Join Infrastructure Ontario as a Sustainability and Energy Management Specialist to lead energy initiatives and optimize operational efficiency. Utilize your skills in LEED, energy modeling, and stakeholder engagement for impactful sustainability efforts.

This role, reporting to the Director of Environmental Management Operations, involves guiding ministries on energy efficiency and managing GHG accounting. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and at least five years of experience in Sustainability and Energy Management. You'll oversee energy contract performance and advise on best practices across various new builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate energy designs for new building projects

• Manage and maintain IO's LEED guidelines and credits

• Oversee annual GHG reporting requirements

• Support measurement and verification programs

• Provide technical oversight on commissioning and technologies

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary degree in environmental studies or engineering

• Minimum 5 years in energy management

• Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems

• Strong collaborative skills with cross-functional teams

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
