Hitachi Rail is seeking an experienced designer for its Toronto team. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience in electronic hardware and system design, particularly in safety-critical environments. You will work closely with stakeholders and manufacturers to ensure compliance and efficiency in production testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop hardware and software test solutions for production

• Troubleshoot and maintain automated test equipment

• Coordinate with global contract manufacturers for new solutions

• Support integration phases of simulators and SLMDs

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about project status

Requirements:

• 5+ years in electronic design in safety-critical industries

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering

• Proficiency in LabVIEW and Test Stand software

• Knowledge of Python and Visual Basic scripting

• Strong writing and interpersonal skills
