Senior Highway Engineer

Egis seeks a Senior Highway Engineer for leading multidisciplinary transportation projects in Toronto, Ontario. Utilize your extensive engineering background to oversee detailed designs and project leadership.
As a Senior Highway Engineer – Highway Lead, you will direct highway and bridge projects for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. This role requires 13+ years of experience in highway design and transportation engineering, along with proven leadership and stakeholder coordination skills. Working in a hybrid model, you will engage with a team dedicated to high-quality standards in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multidisciplinary detail design of highway and bridge projects

• Mentor and oversee engineering teams on various projects

• Ensure QA/QC practices are followed on all assignments

• Coordinate with clients, utility companies, and contractors

• Develop proposals, work plans, and budgets
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario

• Minimum of 13 years in highway design

• Strong knowledge of MTO policies and standards

• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
