Reporting to the VP, Operational Sustainability, the Corporate Director, Infrastructure provides strategic leadership and governance across all existing and developing assets within the company’s global mining portfolio.

Responsibilities- Reviews workplans proposed by operations, project teams, and external partners—ensuring consistent application of methodologies, full understanding of risks and opportunities, and realistic estimates.
- Provides technical and financial reviews during scenarios, Life of Mine (LOM), and End of Life Mine (ELOM) processes to identify risks, opportunities, and alignment with corporate strategy.
- Produces infrastructure‑related technical review reports, including CAPEX assessments, as part of the LOM/ELOM cycles.
- Contributes to the development of medium and long‑term strategic plans for infrastructure maintenance, renewal, and improvement, including benchmarking against industry best practices.
- Ensures consistent implementation of infrastructure management best practices across all operations and projects.
- Provides expert input and approval on infrastructure designs, execution strategies, and development plans for upcoming projects.
- Supports operations in resolving infrastructure‑related challenges, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with corporate standards.
- Occasionally participates in project evaluations at key review stages, including go/no‑go decisions, with a focus on infrastructure components across mining, processing, and environmental domains.
- Collaborates with site teams, technical services, and project/construction groups to ensure cost estimates are realistic, well‑supported, and based on appropriate methodologies.
- Promotes continuous improvement in estimating, risk management, and project controls processes related to infrastructure assets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- 15 years of experience in infrastructure asset management and project development, preferably within the mining sector.
- Experience with financial concepts and calculations required for operational and study‑level evaluations.
- Ability to leverage Technical Corporate Team expertise.
- Commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards and to the application of relevant legislation, codes, and company standards.
- Consensus builder and team worker.
- Very good communication skills.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Head Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
No pay range is disclosed, as compensation is expected to exceed $200,000.
