Illumination and Traffic Signal Technologist

SYSTRA Canada seeks an Illumination and Traffic Signal Technologist to design lighting systems and traffic signals using AutoCAD or Civil 3D. This role involves pivotal project coordination and technical report preparation.

In this position, you'll contribute to the successful management and creation of lighting and signal design projects. Candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in Illumination Design or Traffic Signal Design are welcome to apply. You will leverage your skills in design software and engineering principles to support both electrical infrastructure and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software

• Design and modify traffic signalization and street lighting systems

• Read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings

• Generate drawings for stakeholder approval and project use

• Maintain project information and conduct inspections

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in illumination or traffic signal design

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology

• Proficient in either Civil 3D or AutoCAD

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Willingness to work evenings or weekends as necessary
