Engineering Drafter​/Designer, Nuclear

The Opportunity

Shape critical infrastructure for generations by playing a key role in supporting the design and delivery of nuclear infrastructure projects that power communities safely and sustainably. As an Engineering Drafter/Designer with our nuclear team, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce high‑quality technical drawings and models that bring complex nuclear designs to life. Ideally, this individual will be located in one of our Greater Toronto Area offices.

• Develop detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for nuclear facilities in alignment with project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to translate concepts into precise technical documentation.
• Apply knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and tolerances to produce high‑quality deliverables.
• Support the delivery of nuclear projects by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across all design outputs.
• Review and revise drawings based on project feedback, ensuring alignment with safety and compliance standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, tools, and workflows.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integrated and constructible design solutions.
• Uphold strict adherence to nuclear quality assurance processes and documentation requirements.
• Play a vital role in advancing clean energy infrastructure that supports long‑term sustainability.
• Contribute to projects that enhance the safety, sustainability, and modernization of Canada’s nuclear infrastructure.

• Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting Technology, or related field, ideally in Mechanical and/or Structural.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering drafting and design, ideally with a focus on mechanical and structural on complex heavy‑industry projects, ideally nuclear.
• Knowledge and understanding of ASME Y14 series, CSA N285 & ASME Sec III, B31.3/31.1 Codes, & ASME B36.10, B36.19, B16.5.
• Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, Solid Works, and, ideally, Inventor; experience with 3D modeling and drawing management systems.
• Ability to interpret and develop detailed technical drawings from engineering inputs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high‑stakes environments.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of configuration management and document control processes within regulated industries.
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with a strong focus on quality assurance and safety.
• Passionate about precision, collaboration, and contributing to projects that matter to Canada’s energy future.
• Required: Able to meet and maintain Security Clearance requirements to work on nuclear projects in Canada.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 - $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
