Senior Engineer: Electrical Hydropower Systems

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Toronto to support our hydropower team. This hybrid role involves spearheading the design of critical electrical systems for sustainable energy projects.

Join us at AtkinsRéalis, where we are expanding our Hydropower team in Ontario. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee both conceptual and detailed designs for balance-of-plant systems. Your expertise will guide project delivery and ensure alignment with industry standards while collaborating closely with various engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the design of electrical systems for hydropower installations

• Develop comprehensive distribution and grounding system designs

• Review key electrical documentation and specifications

• Conduct power system analysis using ETAP

• Provide mentorship to junior team members

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with P.Eng. designation

• Relevant hydropower electrical design experience

• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards

• Proficiency in ETAP and Microsoft Office applications

• Comfort with hybrid work and occasional travel
