Join Stantec's national team as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer. Design innovative fire systems in a hybrid work model from Toronto or Markham offices.
As a key player in the Buildings practice, you will lead the design of high-performance fire protection systems while mentoring junior engineers.
Your role will involve developing project deliverables and ensuring adherence to safety standards, codes, and regulations for diverse projects across Canada. Collaborate widely and contribute to continuous improvement in fire protection engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design and analysis of fire protection systems
• Execute hydraulic calculations and code compliance checks
• Mentor junior staff and improve team technical capabilities
• Drive project delivery phases from concept to construction
• Conduct quality assurance on fire protection projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• P.Eng. registration in Canada required
• Minimum 12-15 years' experience in relevant fields
• Familiarity with NFPA and National Building Code standards
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM tools for project design
