Safety Assurance Consultant in Rail Transit

Become a Safety Assurance Consultant with WSP, focusing on safety across rail and transit projects in Canada. This role is based in Toronto and offers a hybrid working model.

WSP is expanding its rail and transit team and looking for Safety Assurance Consultants at various levels. You will be engaged in supporting the development of safety strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaboration with various clients and teams will be key to achieving project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating safety assurance strategies for projects

• Produce and review critical safety deliverables

• Engage in hazard identification and risk assessment sessions

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements

• Collaborate with teams on system integration and testing

Requirements:

• Experience in rail and transit safety assurance

• Familiarity with relevant safety standards and frameworks

• Involvement in safety auditing and compliance activities

• Understanding of hazard management and system safety

• Strong communication and analytical skills
