Linear Water Designer

Job Summary  Join our team and make waves in the world of water! Our growing team is seeking a Designer to lead the design of small to medium-sized linear infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area. This role will work out of one of our Ontario offices – Ottawa, Whitby, North York, Toronto, or Hamilton.
Responsibilities   Provide design services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including open‑cut, trenchless, and rehabilitation projects. Produce engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and required regulatory or funding applications.
Support project managers and collaborate with the project design team to deliver Environmental Assessment Reports, studies, and detailed design documents that meet client requirements.
Offer construction‑phase services such as submittal reviews, responses to RFI requests, and contract document clarifications.
Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
Lead by example to promote client focus, continuous innovation, and ethical, fair, and sustainable practices.
Qualifications   Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology; candidate must be a Civil Engineering Technician with OACETT registration or eligible for registration.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater design of linear infrastructure within existing rights‑of‑way.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
Experience in engineering support during construction and contract administration is considered an asset.

Benefits  Base compensation range: $87,000‑$115,000.
