Position: Nuclear Procurement Engineer with Aecon

As part of Aecon's alliance with Kiewit Nuclear Canada, you will play a crucial role in the Darlington New Nuclear Project. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll prepare equipment specifications and analyze vendor bids to ensure compliance with necessary standards. Your collaboration with various departmental teams will be essential to project success and vendor engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and review design data to inform vendor equipment choices

• Develop preliminary technical specifications and RFQs for proposals

• Ensure that selected equipment complies with nuclear standards

• Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for seamless operation

• Evaluate vendor quotations based on performance and price criteria
Requirements:

• Must hold a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in nuclear procurement

• Knowledge of CSA and ASME standards essential

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail required

• Ability to multitask and work within tight deadlines
