As a Project EHS Lead at Canadian Solar, you will support operations from project design to ongoing maintenance. This hands-on position emphasizes safety and compliance across Canadian energy projects, requiring practical EHS advice and support to diverse teams. You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate EHS considerations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as EHS contact for Ontario BESS projects
• Review and enhance project-specific EHS plans and documentation
• Conduct safety site inspections and promote best practices
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Evaluate contractor EHS performance and ensure compliance
Requirements:
• 5+ years EHS experience in energy or construction
• Knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety legislation
• Relevant health and safety certification preferred
• Experience with battery energy storage or renewable energy
• Willing to travel across Canada for project needs
