Reporting to the Section Manager for Safety Case Integration, your technical expertise will guide the evaluation of safety assessments for nuclear waste repositories. You will coordinate with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the safety culture within NWMO while engaging Indigenous Knowledge Holders and communities throughout the assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluations of safety cases and engineered barriers
• Manage projects and contracts with external organizations
• Review and produce analytical reports and presentations
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and practices
• Engage in public consultations and gather community input
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline
• In-depth knowledge of nuclear waste safety regulations
• Experience in contract and project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Background in quality assurance systems is an asset
