Full-Time Third Class Operating Engineer

Become a crucial part of Atlantic Packaging as a Third Class Operating Engineer. This on-site role in Scarborough centers on operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers and associated systems.

In this full-time position, reporting to the Chief Engineer, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boiler plant and support essential manufacturing processes. This role demands expertise in maintaining high-pressure water tube boilers, troubleshooting equipment, and adhering to health and safety protocols. Your efforts will directly impact workplace safety and continuous plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain high-pressure water tube boilers and compressors

• Perform routine boiler water safety testing and adjustments

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly

• Monitor fire alarm and heating systems for performance

• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario 3rd Class Operating Engineer's Certificate

• Experience with high-pressure boilers and fuel handling systems

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously

• Willingness to comply with safety equipment requirements
