We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with Canadian engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with CAD software, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with Canadian engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with CAD software, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, systems, and equipment.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Perform engineering analysis including stress, thermal, vibration, and fluid flow calculations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate mechanical designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, or CATIA).
- Support product development from concept through manufacturing and installation.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop preventive maintenance procedures and improve equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project management teams.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian engineering codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or eligible for registration with a provincial engineering association.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is considered an asset.
- 0-1 years of mechanical engineering experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering calculations.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Familiarity with ASME, CSA, ISO, and other applicable engineering standards.
- Experience with GD&T, FEA, CFD, and manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
