You will lead and support hydraulic modelling, infrastructure planning, and servicing studies for municipal water and wastewater systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced modeller who enjoys solving complex network and capacity challenges, working directly with municipal clients, and helping shape the growth of a specialist water infrastructure capability.

The role will suit someone with strong experience in water distribution modelling, municipal infrastructure planning, and hydraulic analysis - particularly candidates who have worked for engineering consultancies or directly within municipal utilities.

Location

Ontario-based, with a preference for candidates located in or able to work across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario
, including Toronto, York Region, Peel, Hamilton, Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, and surrounding areas.

Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available, with occasional travel to client sites and offices as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead hydraulic modelling and analysis for municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
  • Develop, calibrate, maintain, and interpret network models to support infrastructure planning, servicing studies, master plans, asset-management initiatives, and capital investment decisions.
  • Conduct technical assessments relating to system capacity, pressure, flow, fire flow, water quality, growth servicing, pumping, storage, and network performance.
  • Prepare technical reports, modelling documentation, design criteria, and recommendations for municipal clients and approval agencies.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across water, wastewater, civil, environmental, geotechnical, and asset-management disciplines.
  • Support and lead Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, master servicing plans, water and wastewater servicing studies, and related infrastructure planning assignments.
  • Provide technical mentorship and quality assurance to junior engineers and modellers.
  • Build trusted relationships with municipal clients and contribute to proposals, business development, and the continued growth of the water infrastructure practice.
About You
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in municipal water and/or wastewater engineering, with substantial hands-on hydraulic modelling experience.
  • Strong experience in water distribution modelling is essential; wastewater collection modelling experience is also highly valuable.
  • Proficiency with Info Water is strongly preferred. Experience with Info Works WS, Info Works ICM, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, EPANET, or comparable modelling platforms will also be considered.
  • Experience supporting municipal clients, either as a consultant or directly within a municipality, water utility, or regional government.
  • Demonstrable experience in infrastructure planning, master plans, servicing studies, capacity assessments, watermain or sewer design, pumping systems, and/or asset management.
  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario - or eligibility to obtain it - is preferred.
