Overview

AtkinsRéalis is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer for its Toronto office.

Your role
  • Contribute to the development and growth of AtkinsRéalis market share in waste and wastewater treatment.
  • Represent AtkinsRéalis in front of local and new clients.
  • Determine the specific needs for client projects, establish the scope of work, and identify steps and timelines for execution.
  • Provide engineering services related to waste and wastewater treatment.
  • Perform design and calculations related to project requirements.
  • Participate in the development of technical specifications.
  • Validate compliance with current standards and verify the conformity of specifications and other documents produced by suppliers.
  • Estimate the cost of the work.
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders (other disciplines, clients, suppliers, etc.).
  • Draft technical specifications and reports.
  • Establish and maintain a climate conducive to the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of engineering work.
  • Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to the position.
About You
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • Be a member in good standing of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
  • Have 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in waste and wastewater; consulting engineering experience is an asset.
  • Understand and have knowledge of systems and processes related to waste & wastewater management.
  • Demonstrated high level of autonomy and ability to act as a subject‑matter expert.
  • Possess solid knowledge of waste and wastewater environment.
  • Be recognized for strong leadership skills, ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships while ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Have experience in managing service proposal processes and business development.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven technical expertise.
  • Have a seller / doer mindset.
Compensation

Expected compensation: CAD 117,200 to 195,400 annually (Ontario). Base salaries are determined by skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
