Controls Engineer for Expressive Robots

As a key member of the Human Computer Lab team, you'll own systems for the expressive robot LeLamp. You'll design and tune control systems, integrate actuators and sensors, and debug hardware to create lifelike motion. Your expertise will drive responsive behavior and improve user interactions while collaborating on the mechatronic stack.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design control systems for motion and feedback
• Integrate sensors and electronics into mechatronic assemblies
• Develop algorithms in C++ and Python
• Build URDF models and simulation environments
• Diagnose control issues like instability and drift
Requirements:
• Masters/PhD in robotics or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with robotic control systems
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics
• Familiarity with CAD tools like Solid Works
• Strong debugging skills with hardware tools
