    About the role:

    We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team, reporting to the Senior Director / VP, Engineering or Operations. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across engineering activities, ensuring safe, reliable and innovative solutions that support operational excellence and long-term project success.

    Working closely with operations, project teams, technical specialists and executive leadership, you will shape engineering direction, strengthen performance and foster continuous improvement. Your leadership will help create value through collaboration, technical excellence and responsible development.

    Responsibilities:

    In this role, you will contribute to work that matters, helping to achieve meaningful results and collaborating with others to conduct business safely, responsibly and with purpose. Here's what you'll do:

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering function to deliver safe, reliable and innovative solutions that support operational and business objectives.
  • Guide engineering strategy, governance and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen performance, efficiency and long-term value.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, operations, project teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and successful outcomes.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, knowledge sharing and succession planning.
  • Strengthen technical excellence by promoting compliance, risk management, quality standards and engineering integrity.
  • Support informed decision-making by monitoring performance, communicating risks and opportunities, and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Qualifications

    The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

    Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer () designation or eligibility to obtain it is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams within complex industrial, mining, infrastructure or technical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering governance, technical standards, risk management and continuous improvement practices.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build partnerships and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in English required; bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset. Ability to travel periodically to project or operational sites.

    Assets:

  • Experience supporting large-scale mining, industrial or infrastructure development projects.
  • Knowledge of project delivery, budgeting, capital planning and operational readiness programs.
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, regulators and external technical partners.
  • Track record of leading organizational change, innovation and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental management systems.
  • Experience building succession plans and developing technical leadership capability within teams.
