Lead Design Manager

Manage design operations at ECG Engineering's Toronto branch, collaborating on diverse projects in mining and utilities. With a strong focus on quality and client collaboration, this role is essential for project success.

As the Design Manager, you will oversee engineering, design, drafting, and document control functions. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that project standards and specifications are strictly adhered to while fostering strong relationships with clients. Your leadership will also influence business development, enhance technical input, and coordinate the Electrical Design team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering and document control functions in Toronto

• Ensure project scope and quality standards are met

• Monitor design accuracy in line with ECG's procedures

• Support client relationships and business development efforts

• Prepare proposals for project approvals

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of engineering or management experience

• Proven leadership and client relationship management skills

• In-depth knowledge of safety and quality systems

• Familiarity with IEC and Canadian Standards

• Strong communication skills and industry awareness
