Lead Mine Waste Engineer WSP

In this critical position, you will manage the design, construction, and operational phases of tailings and waste facilities across Canada. Your advanced geotechnical expertise will be used to evaluate and ensure the efficiency and safety of mining operations. You will also play a vital role in mentoring emerging talent within your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize and assess tailings storage facilities through full lifecycle
• Conduct risk assessments and dam safety reviews
• Produce detailed engineering analyses and technical documents
• Foster client relationships and contribute to project proposals
• Supervise site investigations and quality assurance processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
• At least 8 years of experience in mine waste management
• Proficient in geotechnical software for analysis
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario or nearing qualification
• Willingness to travel for site projects as needed
