As part of Giffen’s engineering team in Vancouver, BC, and Toronto, ON, you will play a pivotal role in structural design and drafting. This role requires a contractor with over seven years of experience in the mining and heavy industrial sectors. You will operate advanced tools like Advanced Steel and RISA to deliver accurate and detailed designs for reinforced concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide drafting and structural design support for projects

• Prepare detailed drawings and models for client specifications

• Analyze structural designs, ensuring compliance with guidelines

• Review and check project documents for quality assurance

• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors

Requirements:

• Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology or equivalent

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in design

• Familiarity with greenfield and brownfield project elements

• Proficient with structural BIM software like Advanced Steel

• Extensive knowledge of industry standards and codes
