Performing duties in Heat Treatment, Vacuum Brazing, Dip Brazing, Hardness Testing, and Chemical Processing process requirements
Continual improvement on techniques and technologies involved with special processing
Continual improvement of Methods and Procedures
Support the sustainment of NADCAP accreditation, in accordance with the specs and audit requirements
Support of training, certification, job audits and internal audits related to special process
Act as a liaison between the Performance Review Institute, American Welding Society, Society of Automotive Engineers – Aerospace Group and other key organizations
Attendance at NADCAP committee meetings and AWS committee meetings
Play a key role in BPQ (Braze qualification process)
Engage with tensile, metallography, and other NDT methods to determine the characteristics of processed alloys
Work side by side with Manufacturing Engineering to establish repeatable methods with sound M&P logic
Work side by side with Quality Engineering to ensure adherence to internal procedures and NADCAP requirements

Support of training, certification, job audits and internal audits related to special process

Qualifications Minimum Gr. 12/high school completion
Technical diploma an asset
Post-secondary in Metallurgy / Materials / Processes (Aluminum expertise preferred)
2-5 years of experience in a M&P/ metallurgical role
Very good knowledge of industry specifications AMS
