Digital Design Intern

Position: Digital Design Intern at Kepler Communications
Join Kepler Communications as an FPGA Digital Design Engineering Intern and play a vital role in our mission of revolutionizing space connectivity. Get hands-on experience while working with cutting-edge technology.

As part of Kepler Communications, the intern will maintain and expand our FPGA code base, design innovative features, and work with various communication interfaces for our satellites. Candidates must be enrolled in an engineering program, with a full-time commitment starting January 2027. Preference is given to those who can work in our collaborative Toronto office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upgrade and maintain FPGA functionalities

• Design IP for new satellite features

• Support integration of sensor interfaces

• Work on high-speed interfaces like JESD
204b and Ethernet

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Electrical or Computer Engineering studies

• Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian undergraduate program

• Available for 4–16 months full-time

• Preference for Toronto office work
