Linesight is recruiting a senior scheduler in Toronto. The employer is a project and cost management consultancy and the post sits with its scheduling team. The scheduler builds programmes covering the full project scope, its milestones and its timelines.
Responsibility and ownership for every deliverable is fixed through a work breakdown structure. The advert is firm that the schedule must follow the project execution plan, and it names the contracting, procurement and project control strategy documents as the plans the programme has to sit inside, which puts the work close to the contractual position rather than beside it.
Time is negotiated as well as drawn. Linesight asks the scheduler to negotiate and mediate timelines and interdependencies between the parties on a project, and to report on schedule progress at regular intervals. Quantitative risk assessment is a stated requirement, together with the ability to interpret the results and explain them to the parties involved.
Linesight asks for a degree or comparable experience in project management or a construction discipline, and working experience of Primavera P6. Interviews are held in person or by video. The posting states no salary, no contract type and no closing date.
