Senior Transportation Civil Design Lead

Lead transportation civil design in Toronto with AtkinsRéalis, applying advanced rail, roadway, drainage, and multidisciplinary leadership expertise. This regular employee role is based in the Municipal & Transportation Infrastructure team.

As Civil Design Lead, you will oversee rail and transportation infrastructure designs from concept through detailed design and construction. The work covers guideways, roadways, earthworks, grading, drainage, underground services, Ontario standards, and stakeholder coordination. You will guide civil teams and support effective project delivery.

• Lead rail guideway and roadway civil design delivery
• Develop profiles, cross-sections, earthworks, grading, and drainage
• Manage civil teams, workloads, schedules, budgets, and performance
• Represent civil disciplines in meetings, workshops, and presentations
• Oversee design changes, quality control, reports, calculations, and documentation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer registration with PEO
• 10+ years of transportation-focused civil engineering experience
• Advanced rail transit guideway and roadway design expertise
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, InRoads/Open Roads, and MS Project
