Festival Programming Manager

Position: Festival Programming Manager Needed
Become a Programming Manager at The Word On The Street Toronto this summer. Lead program development and community initiatives during Canada’s vibrant outdoor literary festival.

In this role, you will work with The Word On The Street's festival team to craft engaging programming that connects diverse audiences with authors, publishers, and artists. This position is ideal for young cultural workers seeking practical experience in event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and curatorial planning within a recognized literary context. Collaborate closely with the Executive Directors to deliver impactful events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate festival programming and community initiatives

• Assist in organizing author talks and performances

• Support logistical coordination of festival events

• Engage with local cultural organizations and stakeholders

• Help develop audience engagement strategies

Requirements:

• Must be 15 to 30 years old

• Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person

• Hold a valid Social Insurance Number

• Legally entitled to work in Canada

• Commitment to equity and inclusion in cultural sectors
