The Retail Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Commercial and Customer Development Teams in driving sales. This role acts as a liaison to support the executing of distribution, promotions, reporting, analytics and insights. As such, the role works to provide all necessary tools and reporting to meet business objectives as well as act as liaison between internal stakeholders in marketing, finance, customer development and the senior management teams.

The role serves as a key contact supporting both Customer Development and Marketing teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Development leaders to develop and track objectives and priorities to achieve the business results.

  • Manage monthly accrual process for Gross to Net (GTN) spend

  • Actively participate in the monthly CBP (Atlas) Discipline and perform analysis of retail environment versus plans monthly performance review volume, sales, distribution, and adjust strategies based on main findings / opportunities. Takes ownership of the monthly inputs and meeting of the planning freeze timelines for customers.

  • Develop, maintain and update KPI trackers for both the sales team and customers.

  • Reports on product launch metrics, innovation scorecarding, and distribution reporting

  • Manages and develops process flows for regional and territory updates, customer master data, consumption data, and manages the 3P platforms used by customers and Hill’s Team (including access, user experience, communications and troubleshooting)

  • Hosts the monthly marketing and customer development team calls (Sales Manager Connect, Monthly Alignment Call, National Territory Manager Call)

  • Analyze Market and Internal Data to correctly assess and gather category shopper insights to identify category growth opportunities and develop action plans based on main findings to support the overall goals of the organization.

  • Support and manage the execution of customer-facing materials/tools.

  • Create and share compelling stories with customers that provide insight to how shopper behaviors are influencing our categories. Serves as the category expert by delivering insight-based engaging category presentations and highlighting opportunities.

  • Attend meetings with key customers to present the Hill’s Retail Marketing strategy and to engage our partners into a solid partnership.

  • Update and execute our sellers’ policy by tracking and enforcing to customers (MAP and SDP)

  • Develops shopper solutions based on Retail/Customer and Shopper knowledge
