We are looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our studio team in Toronto, Canada. In this role you will partner closely with our teams at our other studio locations in the United States and Australia in the creation of epic content for some of the biggest games in the world.

This role will be studio based at our Toronto, Canada location with flexible working support.

Your Mission
Sledgehammer Games is looking for a Senior Technical Dialogue Designer to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. Candidates should be versed in dialog editing and processing techniques and have a general knowledge of dialog pipelines. You will report to our Dialogue Director and help ensure delivery of the highest quality dialog with the use of internally developed proprietary tools.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Dialogue, Narrative and Engineering Teams, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.

Design features and iterate on proprietary Dialogue Tool and Database.

Dialogue asset implementation using proprietary tools.

Test and debug all in-game dialog for multiple implementation pipelines.

Edit and process dialogue assets for all aspects of our game.

Apply studio and departmental best practices of dialogue workflows and systems.

Inspire teamwork and collaboration inside and outside the Audio Dept.

Player Profile (Qualifications)

Demonstrated experience in all aspects of game dialogue.

Expertise in proprietary/third party Dialogue Tools and Databases.

Experience in both linear and interactive dialogue systems.

Minimum five years of experience in game audio development.

Shipped at least two major titles.

Understanding of PS5, XBOX One/Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.

Experience with major digital audio workstations.

Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Exceptional organization skills.

Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in programming, audio engineering, or similar preferred.

Bonus XP

FPS/Multi-player experience a plus.

Audio scripting experience.

College degree preferred.

The standard base pay range for this role is $ - $ CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in Ontario, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
