Count Team WD-GCT - Secondment
JOB DESCRIPTION
Step into a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes role at the heart of the gaming floor. As a Count Attendant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and secure handling of funds from slot machines and table games. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in structured, process-driven environments and take pride in precision, accountability, and teamwork. You’ll work closely with Security, Surveillance, and Count leadership while upholding the highest standards set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and all applicable regulations.
Your work directly supports operational integrity and an exceptional guest experience.
- Coordinate and collect and replace slot drop boxes and table drop boxes in partnership with Security, Surveillance, and Count leadership
- Lifting and handling heavy cash boxes, which requires strength to prevent physical strain
- Collect, sort, count, and process large volumes of cash with accuracy and efficiency
- Safely transport funds between the Main Bank and various gaming areas
- Ensure drop procedures run smoothly by maintaining clear, secure zones around active operations
- Identify and report equipment issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to internal controls, security procedures, and compliance requirements
- Deliver professional, respectful interactions with guests and team members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed and assist other co-workers as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in cash handling or a similar high-volume environment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- Solid organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay focused and efficient in a structured, fast-paced setting
- A high level of integrity and commitment to compliance and accuracy
This is an active, hands-on role that requires stamina and physical capability. To succeed in this position, candidates must be comfortable with:
- Lifting up to 20 lbs on a regular basis
- Pushing wheeled carts weighing up to 450 lbs
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Working in a dynamic, high-energy casino environment with repetitive movement
- Understanding the start times are between 4am & 5am
- Must be eligible for and obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
