You’ll join our office in Toronto to work with the teams and directly interact with our partners, providers, and venues. In this role, you will help Fever grow its pipeline of original events by collaborating with all departments of Fever, from Marketing to Operations. The team you’re about to join consists of people that are motivated, young, and fun, with multicultural backgrounds and top profiles from McKinsey, Amazon, Google, KKR, Cirque du Soleil, PSG, and Roland Garros.
Aboutthe Role
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and detail‑oriented Production Director to join the Fever Originals team. You will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end production of complex live entertainment experiences involving the construction of permanent or semi‑permanent physical spaces, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role spans technical production, creative development, budgeting, process management, and leadership, and requires strong adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to balance speed and quality.
You will serve as the main production point of contact across a wide portfolio of projects, coordinating technical teams, business leaders, our partners and external vendors, while leading processes that guarantee exceptional experiences for our audiences.
- Interpret and validate CAD drawings, including lighting, sound, and power plans.
- Validate site requirements with technical/creative leads and conduct and analyze site visits.
- Apply cross‑department technical knowledge, including F&B, lighting, audio, stage, and video.
- Oversee permitting from site assembly through building permits to F&B, with hands‑on venue preparation experience.
- Coordinate design reviews with creative and technical teams.
- Ensure concepts align with client vision, technical feasibility, and financial targets.
- Create and maintain production bibles, handovers, and documentation.
- Develop and track production schedules, Gantt charts, and milestones.
- Enjoy working with multiple platforms and complex processes.
- Build and maintain production budgets throughout the feasibility, sign‑off, and operational stages of production.
- Ongoing monitoring of local operational spends and identification of optimization opportunities.
- Invoice management and closing of the event P&Ls.
- Negotiate and execute vendor, staffing, and MSA contracts.
- Lead meetings, capture outcomes, and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable business decisions.
- Ability to defend your opinion with tact at different levels of the organization.
You have a proven track record of delivering large‑scale, technically complex productions with multiple stakeholders and high budgets. You combine strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with hands‑on technical knowledge across staging, lighting, sound, and logistics. You thrive in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments, are detail‑oriented yet innovative, able to anticipate challenges, negotiate solutions, and think strategically about creating compelling, seamless live experiences.
This role requires both operational rigor and creative problem‑solving. Candidates should be passionate about live entertainment and event production, with the ability to balance technical feasibility, vision, and financial targets.
