Varsity Blues Public Announcer Position

Become the voice of the Varsity Blues at University of Toronto by delivering live announcements at various sporting events. Engage fans by presenting player introductions, key protocols, and event promotions during games.

Reporting to the Events Coordinators, this role focuses on live in-venue announcements for basketball, hockey, soccer, and more. Ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail and be available for at least 70% of scheduled games throughout the season, including evenings and weekends. Prior experience in sports operations, broadcasting, or announcing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver game scripts and event-related announcements

• Collaborate with event staff for smooth operations

• Execute sound checks before each event

• Adapt quickly to the live sports atmosphere

• May announce at special championships and events

Requirements:

• Current University of Toronto students preferred

• Knowledge of multiple varsity sports is advantageous

• Experience in announcing or public speaking is a plus

• Availability for mandatory training sessions

• Flexible schedule for evening and weekend shifts
