JOB DESCRIPTIONA position has become available in the Stewarding department for full-time a Stewarding Supervisor reporting to the Executive Steward and the Assistant Stewarding Managers.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES- Supervision of Stewarding staff
- Assisting with departmental training and orientation of new employees and existing stewards
- Monitoring of labour costs daily,
- Delegating job tasks and duties to Stewarding staff as required.
- Accountable to the Managers of any assigned task to each in every staff during his or her shift
- Maintain time keeping and records!
- Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary action if the need to arises.
- At least 2-5 years relevant supervisory experience in the Stewarding / Kitchen areas within the Hospitality industry
- Previous experience in a unionized environment
- WHMIS Certification is required.
- Excellent organizational and written / verbal communicational skills are a must.
- Availability to work the overnight shift starting at 10:00 pm
